This major provides students with a focused learning pathway through the skills and experience required to engage in a career as a music artist. The major offers students intensive creative and technical training in the areas of composing, arranging and recording culminating in a production of a CD of their original works. Emphasis is placed upon developing the student's individual talent as an artist and the ability to collaborate with others. WAAPA's professionally staffed and equipped facilities provide the student with the opportunity to learn the skills and knowledge and experience the hands on approach required by the national and international industry.
