Physical Education Minor

This minor offers students specialised skills and knowledge in physical education teaching for Years 7-10. Students will explore methods, pedagogy and teaching strategies for effectively teaching physical education as well as the challenges and opportunities facing physical education in schools.

Minor Structure

Students are required to complete 4 Content units and 2 Curriculum units. Content units educate students in the subject area and the Curriculum units explain how to teach the subject area to others. In Year One, Semester One, the students have a choice of 2 units to enrol in: SPS3104 Performance Studies 7 (Hockey/Basketball/Netball) SPS1755 Coaching Science 2 (Soccer/Badminton)
