Mathematics Minor

Effective from 01-JAN-2024 : Code MIAAKL

Mathematics is concerned with the study of numbers, patterns, shapes and structure. It provides a framework and language with which to explore and communicate ideas across a diverse range of fields including science, engineering, technology and finance. Mathematics can be used to model physical processes, solve problems, analyse and draw conclusions from data, and support decision making. This minor provides students with a foundation across some of the core areas of applied mathematics, including calculus, linear algebra and mathematical modelling. Students can choose from a list of units to suit their specific interests and mathematical background.
