This specialisation is designed for students wishing to become secondary Physical and Health Education teachers. The units cover school curricula, teaching strategies and the development and assessment of teaching programs.

All applicants are required to complete a major (three years of degree level study with at least 4 units at level 2 or above) in sports science and/or physical education with at least three units of study in physical education including contemporary physical activities, dance, gymnastics, games and sport. Vocationally oriented courses, coaching certificates, umpiring/refereeing accreditation in sports and physical activities are not recognised as equivalent.
