You should choose this specialisation if you would like to develop, or further develop, your knowledge and skills to work with children, young people and their families. You will explore evidence based, contemporary approaches to working in this area of practice to improve the lives of the people you come into contact with.

Learning Outcomes

  1. Communicate specialised knowledge, skills and theoretical concepts contextualised to children and young people's nursing.
  2. Apply critical judgement when reviewing, analysing and evaluating complex situations to generate effective solutions.
  3. Demonstrate assessment and management skills in children and young people's nursing practice by planning, implementing and critically evaluating current nursing practice.
