Costume
VET Specialisation

The costume specialisation is structured to provide training in the techniques and processes required for the construction and management of costumes and accessories for theatre and live performance. Students develop skills and knowledge in art finishing, costume construction, pattern making, drawing, and millinery. Other production and design specific units include OHS, theatre studies, and collaborative processes. Students also gain skills in the coordination of costumes for production, which incorporates budgeting, scheduling, costume manufacture, wardrobe maintenance and dressing.

Students may be required to attend and/or support evening and weekend rehearsals and performances. These may be at locations external to WAAPA, ECU.
