Master of Nursing

This coursework Masters is designed for Registered Nurses wishing to continue their professional and academic development to advance their leadership, research, teaching or administrative roles. Successful completion of this higher degree involves coursework and the completion of a project.

Admission requirements

  • Into a 120 credit point Masters Degree, a Bachelor Honours degree in the same discipline; or
  • Into a 180 credit point Masters Degree, a Bachelor degree in the same discipline; or
  • Into a 180 credit point Masters Degree, a Bachelor Honours degree; or
  • Into a 240 credit point Masters Degree, a Bachelor degree; or
  • Where accepted, equivalent prior learning, including at least five years appropriate professional experience.

Course Specific Admission Requirements

All applicants are required to provide proof of current registration with the appropriate health professional registration board (e.g. Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia), and a certified copy of proof of identity containing a photograph, and have a minimum of two years post-registration full-time nursing experience, and provide curriculum vitae including two professional references, and students who are packaged with an English preparation course must be re-tested against an approved English test before admission.
