Bachelor of Criminology and Juvenile Justice

This course adopts a contemporary approach to criminology and justice education with an emphasis on developing educated practitioners who possess a high level of academic literacy and professional competency. Students gain knowledge of the contemporary theory and research that informs criminology and justice professions, as well as developing practical professional skills relevant for careers within criminology and justice professions. This dual approach prepares students for positions aimed at assisting the personal, social and cultural development of at-risk youth. Professional skill development in this course is supported and enhanced by industry practice in a field setting.

Clinical or professional work placement Requirement

Students are offered industry practice in a field setting through Youth Work Professional Placement (full-year unit) and Inclusive Youth Work Practice units.
