This course provides students with a practical foundation in a number of core areas of Primary Education that may serve as a bridge to Bachelor level studies in initial teacher education. Students are required to meet the Inherent Requirements to Study upon entry in the Undergraduate Certificate in Education (Primary). As part of consideration for ECU's Teacher Education programs, applicants will have their non-academic capabilities assessed based on completion of a Non-Academic Requirements for Teacher Entry (NARTE) online questionnaire. If on your first attempt, you do not satisfy the NARTE questionnaire requirements for entry into a Teacher Education course, you are welcome to re-apply to ECU after 12 months, at which time you will be required to retake the NARTE questionnaire.
