Lighting
VET Specialisation

This specialisation provides training in lighting design and technology for the live production industry. Students develop skills and knowledge in flying systems, electrical safety and testing, lighting design and technology and creative projects. Areas of study include electrical safety, lighting design, production technology, technical drawing, and CAD.

Students may be required to attend and/or support evening and weekend performances and rehearsals. These may be at locations external to WAAPA, ECU.
Employment Opportunities
Graduates are employed in a professional capacity as lighting technicians in the live production industry, including theatre, film, architectural, corporate, events and concerts.
