ECU Joondalup Pines
The ECU Joondalup Pines outdoor cinema, located on our Joondalup Campus, is home to the Telethon Community Cinemas film program. Run by over 700 volunteers, Telethon Community Cinemas proudly donate all profits to kids' charities through Telethon. That means when you watch a movie at ECU's outdoor cinema, you'll be helping hundreds of WA kids in need.
Situated amongst the pine trees, with festoon lights and landscaped surrounds, the venue offers the opportunity to view blockbuster and family friendly films in a unique setting. Hire a bean bag, bring your own picnic rug and chairs, or relax in our deckchair-style seating. You can also purchase food and drinks (including alcohol) from our candy bar.
The 2024/25 film season runs during the summer months, from 16 November 2024 to 26 April 2025, with nightly screenings. Gates open at 6.30pm and screenings commence at 7.45pm.
Tickets can be purchased online until 5.45pm each evening from Telethon Community Cinemas then at the gate from 6.30pm. Ticket prices are $14 adults, $10 concession, $7 children and kids under 5 free.
ECU students, staff and alumni can purchase discounted tickets at the door by showing relevant ECU ID card.
The film program is available at Telethon Community Cinemas Joondalup.
Online delivered gift vouchers are available at Telethon Community Cinemas.
ECU Joondalup Pines is an outdoor non-smoking venue with a range of seating options including sling back chairs and beanbags for hire. Patrons are also welcome to bring their own chairs or picnic rugs.

Free parking is available throughout the campus, the closest being carpark # 14 or carpark # 8. Enter off Joondalup Drive and follow the signs.
