ECU is available to provide a range of different support options to navigate this based on your individual circumstances.

ECU provides free, confidential psychological counselling support to all currently enrolled ECU students to address any personal issues that may impact upon their study, including family and domestic violence. The Counselling Service can also refer you to external family and domestic violence organisations.
Student Success Officers assist students in negotiating university life and offer one-on-one appointments for students to explore and develop plans to overcome any challenges. Student Success Officers can assist with referrals, providing financial and housing advice or support and more.

ECU's Out of Hours Crisis Line operates from 4:30pm to 8:30am on weekdays, and 24 hours on weekends, providing students with mental health and wellbeing support.
ECU recognises that any staff member may experience situations of violence or abuse in their personal life that may affect their attendance or performance at work. ECU endeavours to support staff impacted by family or domestic violence in a respectful manner, and to enable them to maintain their employment while they deal with their personal circumstances.

1800RESPECT is the national family violence and sexual assault counselling service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It’s confidential and free to call. They can also help with advice about online safety if you think someone is watching your online activities.
Women’s Domestic Violence Helpline is a state wide 24 hour service providing support and counselling for women experiencing family and domestic violence.
MensLine Australia is a telephone and online counselling service for men with emotional health and relationship concerns.
