Perri Waddell

Perri Waddell


Master of Clinical Nursing (2019)

Graduating in 2019, Perri felt she finally had a voice of credibility to match her decades of nursing experience. “I strongly believe that older adults with chronic conditions deserve the very best of nursing care and was determined to develop my expertise and credibility to be able to role model that aged care (gerontological) nursing is a valued and exciting pathway to take as a nurse,” she says.

Channelling the trauma that resulted from being stolen from her family at the age of seven, Elsie Penny has dedicated her life to improving health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. Elsie says that caring for the community has helped her to come to terms with what happened to her as a child.
