Since graduating from ECU in 2019, Jacob has quickly worked his way up in Australia’s leading cyber security company, CyberCX, protecting businesses and organisations from critical threats, as well as sharing his knowledge with people looking to start out in the in-demand industry.

Dr Kevin Sahba obtained a PhD from ECU in the field of terrestrial laser radar for security applications, before shifting to a career in security consulting. He’s since gathered considerable experience, improving the security, risk and resilience posture of organisations and leading the delivery of multiple advisory and technical consulting services based on industry and government security and risk frameworks.
Karen Aldons was at the forefront of the development of the cyber security industry in Australia, having been one of the first students completing both the Bachelor of Science (Security) and the Master of Information Technology degrees in the early 2000s.

While spending seven days in a locked room doesn’t sound appealing to most people, that period of time constitutes a career highlight for Jason Smart. In 2017, Jason was involved in a mission to bring down one of the largest ever sustained global cyber espionage campaigns - 'Operation Cloud Hopper'.
