Fiona is Director, Access and Equity, working across the university to embed equitable and inclusive practice to create an environment that is welcoming and facilitates the success of students and staff from a diversity of backgrounds. Fiona’s work is grounded in socially just and practical educational initiatives, underpinned by research, evidence and lived experience. She has experience and research interest in student access, retention and success, enabling education, equity initiatives for students and staff, and whole-of-organisation approaches to progress inclusion and success of students and staff.

Fiona is currently a member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Australian and New Zealand Student Services Association, and is an Executive member of the Australian Tertiary Education Network on Disability and of the Equity Practitioners in Higher Education Association.
