Our services

The directorate comprises three teams, working in partnership with each other and the wider University.

Academic Pathway Programs

ECU has been delivering enabling programs for over 20 years. Our well-established UniPrep courses prepare students for University study by teaching them essential study skills. UniPrep can be studied in a range of timeframes and modes, including on campus and online.

UniPrep also has dedicated Student Success Officers to provide a tailored approach in supporting students to achieve success within UniPrep.

Through our unique UniPrep Schools program we partner with select WA high schools to deliver enabling education within the senior years of schooling, providing access to higher education for young people.

Access and Inclusion

Access and Inclusion work with students and staff to support participation and success in study for students who live with a permanent or temporary disability, medical condition, mental health condition, or have primary carer responsibilities. The team also supports students with neurodivergence and those impacted by other circumstances, including cultural or religious practices and family and domestic violence.

Students can contact the Access and Inclusion team.

Guidance to staff is provided within Supporting Students: A Staff Guide.
