Based at ECU Joondalup Campus, People and Culture play a key role in developing and measuring strategies to attract, recruit and retain quality staff.
This is achieved through a range of policies and practices aimed at creating a workplace that is welcoming, inclusive, healthy and progressive.
The Centre is organised around four dedicated teams responsible for the ongoing administration of People and Culture policies and procedures across the University.
The team provides standards of governance and expert advice to line managers and employees on the full range of staffing operations in the employee life-cycle. This covers organisation structures, job roles and change methodology, recruitment and selection, on-boarding new staff, rewards and recognition, staff performance, attraction and retention strategies and staff exit procedures.
WSC supports the development of an engaged, healthy, high performing workforce through leadership development, workforce planning, wellbeing, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employment and traineeships, capability development, consultancy and advice.
The Employee Relations team provides advice and expertise covering enterprise bargaining, employer/employee representation, workplace investigation, e.g. misconduct, fraud and corruption, grievance processes, and case management services.
The Work Health, Safety and Wellness team provide wellness programs, workplace safety education and investigations, hazard identification, reporting and consultative mechanisms for proactive injury prevention, risk management and workers compensation liability management.
