Evaluation of the Dardii Girlz Program - Kwinana

The Dardii Girlz Program was developed by the David Wirrpanda Foundation to improve the quality of life for Indigenous youth by promoting strong role models and healthy life choices.  “Dardii” is a Nyoongar word meaning “awesome”.

The Program aimed to assist young women to make positive decisions, particularly when faced with challenging situations. It also promoted positive and healthy lifestyle choices to Indigenous female teenagers in Kwinana.

The evaluation, conducted by Kurongkurl Katitjin, aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of the Dardii Girlz Program in terms of its proposed initiatives and strategies raising awareness about sexual health and healthy lifestyles in young Indigenous females; and reducing risk taking behaviours.
