Make music with your friends! Borrow a guitar or ukulele and jam out on campus

One theory about how the ukulele was named is that a player’s fingers fly over the uke so fast they’re likened to a ‘jumping flea’ – the literal translation of the Hawaiian word ‘ukulele’. (Read more about this here: Merriam-Webster website.)

New instruments

Whether you’re a novice, a hobbyist, or a maestro – all ECU students are welcome to borrow the brand-new ukuleles and guitars that we’ve just added to Library collections.

  • Joondalup – 3x guitars, 3x ukuleles available
  • Mount Lawley – 3x guitars, 3x ukuleles available
  • South West – 1x guitar, 1x ukulele available

Play anywhere on campus - over lunch or in between classes - with a 3-hour loan. (Please be respectful of those around you and choose a space where additional noise won't cause an issue.)
