Study week at the Library

You’ve probably already used ECU Library online, to access academic resources such as:

But did you know that if you’re on campus during study week, one of the best places to set yourself up for your study sessions is the Library?

Library facilities are designed to help you feel comfortable and well-equipped for study.

Library spaces

Library spaces are big, airy, vibrant and light-filled.

There’re different areas to suit a variety of study needs and preferences.

At your Campus Library, you’ll find:

  • accessible technologies room
  • comfy, modern furniture with a range of desk and seating options
  • desktop computers
  • digital screens for collaboration
  • drinking fountains, microwaves and vending machines
  • free Wi-Fi, phone charger, power points and power boards
  • group and solo study rooms and collaborative work spaces
  • oversized whiteboards (Joondalup)
  • printers, copiers and binding machine
  • sleep pods (Joondalup)
  • study booths

Library staff

As you prepare for exams, be supported by our fantastic staff who are on hand (during opening hours) to help when things get tricky.

If you need a bit of guidance with searching, or with your learning technologies, Library staff can help.

They can also refer your referencing queries to a Librarian and point you in the right direction for other queries you have.

Librarian appointments

Don’t forget, as an ECU student you can book a one-to-one appointment with a Librarian for support.

ECU Librarians are trained in aspects of digital and information literacy for the academic world; they can help with:

  • developing effective academic research skills
  • developing referencing skills
  • digital skills development (ECU learning technologies)
  • keeping track of your sources (EndNote support)
  • legal citation for law (AGLC4)
  • evaluating academic sources for study and assignments

Library Guides are resources compiled both by subject/discipline, and for bespoke academic skills, such as:
