    Your Campus Library is a place to access lots of study support – use it to your advantage.

ECU Library is here to support students and researchers. Knowing what the Library offers helps you effectively access our services when you need them.

Access

The Library’s opening hours web page has up-to-date information so you can check when we are open and staffed.

Collections (eBooks, research papers, books and more)

You can access digital resources online, using the Library search system. You search for physical items such as books this way too.

And, there’s a High Use Collection at each campus that allows you to access and borrow high-use Reading Lists items for short, three hour loans.

Library Guides

These are a series of invaluable how-to guides covering some key aspects of study skills, and, a series of subject-specific resource lists to help orientate your information searches.

Library staff

Our customer service team can help with lots of search queries and other types of Library enquiries, and can refer your more complex queries to our team of Librarians. The contact web page shows how you can get in touch.

Librarian appointments

Book an appointment with a Librarian if you’d like some one-to-one assistance. This is an option for support for:

  • referencing skills
  • search skills
  • information literacy skills
  • digital skills

There's a series of video-on-demand workshop recordings available,  so you might be able to find the information you need online.

Learning technology support

Experienced students work at each Campus Library, ready to assist with basic questions about Canvas, Panopto, Pebblepad, MS Teams and other learning technology you use in your ECU coursework.

This service - the Library Peer Assistant service - is also offered online using MS Teams chat.

Study spaces

Book a study room, or enjoy the variety of quiet and group study spaces available.

Booths, collaborate screens and oversized whiteboards and really popular during study week!

Power and wi-fi

Charge your devices, and use ECU’s wi-fi network to power your study sessions.
