ECU library is a proud member of the OCLC Express Program and with the introduction of Tipasa our Document Delivery service has got a whole lot easier for users.
Tipasa is a resource sharing system that will replace our current system, Virtual Document Exchange (VDX) on the 14th November. VDX is no longer fit for purpose and Tipasa has been developed to replace it. Tipasa is integrated within our library management system and will result in a faster more streamlined service for research staff and postgraduate students.
Tipasa will provide greater access to library resources internationally which is good news as ECU Library also qualifies for the OCLC Express Program. This is a program that recognises libraries worldwide for the speed with which they process requests and gives ECU Library access to other libraries within this group.
You will be able to track and retrieve your requests by simply logging into your library account from the library homepage. Requests will still be submitted in the same way as they are currently submitted. The only notable difference will be a new request form.
The Document Delivery webpage and Libguide are in the process of being updated to reflect these changes.
Please contact the Library Collections Team if you need further clarification.
