Loan Laptop service

Laptops are available for one-month loan to ECU current students during semester.

Due to a high demand for laptops, we are introducing short term loan laptops to our collections, which will help to reduce wait times. These can be borrowed for up to one week.

If you need a laptop to complete assignments, please contact the Library via email or phone or by visiting the staff at one of our services desks.

It may not be possible to access a laptop immediately – they work just like other items in our collections. If they’re all out on loan, we’ll need to contact you to collect equipment once it's been returned from its current loan. Loans are issued for four weeks, with no renewals. Any requests for re-issuing of loans will be assessed by the Library Coordinator.

Please note that we're currently unable to send laptops outside Western Australia, and we don’t permit this equipment to be taken out of the state.

There's more information available about this service at ECU's FAQ page.

Dongles

In some circumstances you may be able to borrow a wi-fi dongle if you are having trouble accessing the internet. Usage is limited to 40GB.

Please note that we're currently unable to send dongles outside Western Australia, and we don’t permit this equipment to be taken out of the state.

To apply for a dongle loan you'll need to submit an online form explaining your circumstances, which will be reviewed by our team. The application form also outlines the Conditions of Use.
