Elections of ECU Council

Strategic and Governance Services is responsible for conducting elections for a number of positions on Council. To find out more about a particular election, please consult the information below and click on the appropriate downloads for details.

ECU is committed to ensuring that its decision-making bodies include a diversity of perspectives and viewpoints. In striving to achieve gender diversity at leadership and management levels, suitably qualified people of all genders are encouraged to apply.

In accordance with the TEQSA Provider Threshold Standards, Council members must be able to meet the requirements outlined in the Fit and Proper Person Declaration.

Elections 2025

PROFESSIONAL STAFF MEMBER (one position)

Term:  23 May 2025 to 22 May 2028
Nominations open:  14 April
Nominations close: 5 May 2025 at 5:00 PM

Should more than one valid nomination be received for this position, polling will be conducted from 8 May to 22 May 2025.

INFORMATION SESSION

An information session about Council and the elections for the professional staff member will be held as follows:

Thursday 17 April at 3:30 PM - 4:30 PM at the Joondalup Campus in the Council Chambers Building, Room 447 (JO.1.447)

This session will also be available

ENROLLED STUDENTS (two positions - one undergraduate and one postgraduate)

Term:  20 September 2024 to 19 September 2025
Nominations period:  31 July to 28 August 2024
Voting period: 5 to 19 September 2024
The election was conducted using the electronic voting system BigPulse.
