More about the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Regional Futures)Edith Cowan University will boost healthcare in WA’s South West by creating a new University Department of Rural Health (UDRH) for research and training nurses and other allied health workers. The centre will provide training placements across the South West to undergraduate and postgraduate students in emergency medicine, aged care, mental health, disability, child and family health and other community settings such as primary and secondary schools.
The WA state government is investing $1.2 million over the next four years to create the first creative technology innovation hub.
This initiative will see ECU collaborate with the State Government, City of Bunbury, the South West Development Commission and industry to help stimulate WA’s emerging creative and immersive technology industry and grow a future ready workforce across Western Australia.
