Funding Pianos at ECU
Edith Cowan University is the custodian of the remarkable Founding Pianos keyboard instrument collection.
Meticulously and intelligently assembled, the collection is widely recognised as one of the most significant in the world and is of immense cultural value.
The collection includes over 160 instruments dating from the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries and includes the first keyboard instrument to arrive in Australia.
The Founding Pianos project has attracted international attention and reinforced the significant research and training elements involved in restoring and conserving the collection.
However, to bring life back to these instruments of such historical and global importance, we need your generous donation to the project.
Please help us preserve history and continue the celebration and teaching of these important instruments for future generations.
If you’d like to learn more about our remarkable collection and the impact your donation can make, please contact one of our team at the Office of Development and Alumni Relations.
