Inspiring Minds Equity Scholarship Fund

At ECU, we believe our students will be the change-makers of tomorrow. And that all students of great potential, regardless of their financial circumstances, have the right to a life-changing education.

With almost half of our students being the first in their family to attend university, we know how the attainment of a degree, with its enhanced employment prospects, can have a positive ripple effect across generations of their family.

The scholarship fund

We want to make the best possible learning experience available to all, and to help students of all backgrounds realise their dream of a university education, regardless of their personal financial capacity.

That’s why we’ve established the Inspiring Minds Equity Scholarship Fund. And with your help, we can help make this dream a reality for many who have potential to help change our world.

Current undergraduate students who may have experienced financial difficulties, personal hardships or come from underrepresented backgrounds are encouraged to apply, including:

  • students from low socio-economic backgrounds
  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students
  • students with disability
  • students with chronic illness, medical conditions and/or mental health conditions
  • students with caring responsibilities
  • care leavers / people with experience of out-of-home care
  • students from rural or regional areas of Australia
  • LGBTIQA+ students
  • students impacted by family and domestic violence

The scholarship offers a one off payment of $3,000.

Your gift is priceless
