This course is relevant to employment of both information technology (IT) and non-IT professionals who recognise the need to acquire knowledge and managerial skills with respect to the role and pervasiveness of information and communications technology and its associated management implications in contemporary organisations. Management Information Systems (MIS) describes the broad opportunities for supporting the application of technologies to business. The study of e-business and enterprise systems is an integral part of this area. This course specifically addresses the business and technology issues arising from enterprise use of IT and covers technological, managerial and strategic issues.

All students are required to have an Australian Bachelor degree in a discipline other than Information Systems, with equivalents considered. Alternatively students can have a Graduate Certificate in a relevant discipline, or have five years appropriate supervisory or managerial work experience.
