The IBM partnership

At ECU, we're always looking to help students maximise their employment opportunities after they graduate.

One of the ways we're doing this is through a mutually beneficial partnership with IBM.

This collaboration gives students an opportunity to complete a paid internship during their studies and a possible employment offer when they graduate.

How it works

The IBM paid internship is offered to students who are already building the skills critical to WA’s economic future.

Students get first-hand experience on meaningful work within a large consulting firm, while undertaking professional development and networking with industry professionals.

Interns also receive support and training, work in IBM teams and contribute to projects involving IBM's client companies.

Advancing student skills development

"This internship program will allow students to acquire some of the most in demand business and technical skills, helping to fast-track their post study employment opportunities."

Vivien Hegedus, IBM Design Director
