ATAR Outstanding Achievement Scholarship

ECU’s ATAR Outstanding Achievement Scholarship is open to Western Australian year 12 school leavers displaying outstanding academic excellence by achieving an unadjusted ATAR of 97 or above. You will be considered for this scholarship when you select Edith Cowan University as your first preference on your TISC application. The scholarship offers a payment of $2,500 per semester, for a total of $5,000 per year for the duration of your course.

Eligibility guidelines

To be eligible for this scholarship you must:

  • achieve an unadjusted ATAR of 97 or above;
  • be a year 12 Western Australian school leaver;
  • nominate ECU as your 1st preference on your TISC application or be successful in a WAAPA audition;
  • be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, holder of a Refugee and Humanitarian visa, or a New Zealand citizen;
  • apply to undertake a full-time undergraduate bachelor degree commencing Semester 1, 2025; and
  • enrol in 60 credit points each semester.
  • not be in receipt of any other merit based scholarship at ECU;

How to apply

To be considered for this scholarship select Edith Cowan University as your first preference on your TISC application or audition for a place at WAAPA.

Successful applicants will receive an offer to their registered email address by the 30th of January 2025 which must be accepted by the dates specified in the offer.

High achievers have another option

If you’re not sure you can hit an ATAR of 97 or higher, we offer another scholarship where you need to achieve an ATAR of 90 or higher. It’s called the ATAR High Achievement Scholarship.
