Crow Books and New Edition Scholarships in Aboriginal Performance

The Crow Books and New Edition Scholarships in Aboriginal Performance will support 2 students enrolled in Certificate IV in Aboriginal Performance course at WAAPA. The Scholarship is aimed to assist students to complete their course who have a passion for aboriginal performance and are experiencing financial hardship. The Scholarship is a one-off payment of $6500 to cover course fees. Any remaining credit after fees are covered will be paid directly to the scholarship recipient.

Eligibility guidelines

To be eligible for this scholarship you must:

  • be of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander decent;
  • be enrolled in a Certificate IV in Aboriginal Performance C84;
  • have and maintain an academic progression status of GREEN;  and
  • not be in receipt of another donor or industry supported scholarship valued at $5000

How to apply

Application is made via the ECU Online Scholarship Application Portal. Access to the portal is available between application opening and closing dates.

Applicants will be required to provide a personal statement of no more than 500 words addressing the following;

  • How will the Crow Books and New Edition Scholarships assist you to complete your course?
  • Why have you chosen to study Aboriginal Performance?

Selection Process

Eligible applications will be assessed by a Selection Committee.

  • Content of Personal Statement
