Doreen Collyer Nursing Scholarship Fund

Doreen Collyer, was a much loved and respected colleague, mentor and teacher at Edith Cowan University. Her work as Director of Postgraduate Studies and Lecturer with the School of Nursing and Midwifery was well respected and valued. A Scholarship Fund has been established to honour her memory. A significant proportion of ECU Nursing students are mature age mothers and fathers. To undertake practical placements for a significant period of time is a substantial financial burden which includes loss of income for current work and the cost of childcare. Supporting Nursing students through a scholarship will have a tremendous impact on student learning experiences whilst honouring Doreen’s tremendous contribution to ECU. The Scholarship offers a one-off payment of $3000.
