The Dorothea Swift Nursing scholarships have been generously donated to support Bachelor of Science - Nursing students commencing their first semester of study. The scholarship offers payments of $4,000 per semester (max 6), for a total of $24,000 over 3 years.

Eligibility guidelines
To be eligible for this scholarship you must:
- be an Australian citizen, or an Australian permanent resident;
- be enrolled in your first semester of study in the ECU Bachelor of Science (Nursing) C33;
- have and maintain an academic progression status of GREEN;
- be enrolled in a minimum of 30 credit points per semester;
- be a resident of Western Australia, and:
- have relocated from a remote or regional area of WA in the last two years to study at ECU; or
- be an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander
- not be in receipt of any other donor or industry funded scholarship.
How to apply
Application is made via the ECU Online Scholarship Application Portal. Access to the portal is available between application opening and closing dates.
Applicants will be required to provide a personal statement of no more than 500 words demonstrating;
- Your financial circumstances;
- Any social disadvantages;
- Your achievements; and
- Reasons for choosing Nursing as a career.
Selection Process
Eligible applications will be assessed by a Selection Committee.
