These scholarships are designed to support postgraduate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students of outstanding research promise undertaking a higher degree by research at ECU. The scholarships are offered on the basis of academic merit and research performance. The scholarship includes a relocation allowance, tuition fee sponsorship and a stipend of $45,000 per annum paid fortnightly via electronic funds transfer.The duration of the scholarship is up to 3 years full-time for a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and up to 2 years fulltime for Master by Research.
To be eligible applicants must have met the minimum requirement below:
*Applicants will be required to provide evidence of their Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander status. This would usually take the form of confirmation of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander status under the common seal of a community organisation. Where exceptional circumstances apply, statutory declarations and other forms of documentation may be considered. Original or certified copies of supporting documentation must be provided.
**If you have submitted an application for course entry and have not yet been issued an offer you can apply for this scholarship and your application will be assessed subject to you receiving an unconditional course offer by the scholarship closing date of the 12th of June 2024.
