Mineral Resources Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Scholarship

The Mineral Resources Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Scholarship has generously been donated to support an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander student at ECU. Eligible students are students undertaking a Bachelor Degree in a course that can be considered relevant to the core business areas at Mineral Resources. The Scholarship offers payment of $3750 per semester for the duration of the course up to 3 years. (Maximum Scholarship value of $22,500)

Eligibility guidelines

To be eligible for this scholarship you must:

  • be an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander;
  • be enrolled in a Bachelor Course  that could be considered relevant to Mineral Resources core business areas ;
  • be enrolled full time (60 credit point minimum requirement);
  • have and maintain an academic progression status of GREEN; and
  • not be in receipt of another scholarship that is $5,000 or greater per annum.

How to apply

Application is made via the ECU Online Scholarship Application Portal. Access to the Portal is available between application opening and closing dates.

Applicants will be required to provide a personal statement of no more than 500 words addressing the below;

  • Describe your current financial situation and how you will benefit for this Scholarship
  • How is your chosen degree relevant to any of Mineral Resources core business areas?

Eligible applications will be assessed by a Selection Committee. Selection will be based on:

  • Content of Personal Statement
