The Haselhurst Family Scholarship - Contemporary and Jazz - Vocal

The Haselhurst Family Scholarship in Contemporary and Jazz - Vocal has been established to support Bachelor of Music (Contemporary or Jazz Performance) students with a specialisation in Vocal. The scholarship will provide financial support to students who demonstrate a ‘need’ that requires financial aid to be able to graduate their course. The scholarship is valued at $7,500 as a one off payment. There are 2 Scholarships available.

Eligibility guidelines

To be eligible for this scholarship you must:

  • be an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident, New Zealand citizen or International student;
  • have and maintain an academic progression status of GREEN;
  • experiencing financial difficulties; and
  • be enrolled full-time (60 credit point minimum requirement) in one of the below courses majoring in either- Contemporary or Jazz Performance with a specialisation in Vocal:
    • W76 - Bachelor of Music;  or
    • K35 Bachelor of Music Honours
  • previous recipients can reapply.

How to apply

Application is made via the ECU Online Scholarship Application Portal. Access to the portal is available between application opening and closing dates.

Applicants will be required to provide a personal statement of no more than 500 words addressing the below;

  • Why did you choose the course you are completing?
  • What are your career aspirations?
  • Describe your financial circumstances and how you would benefit from receiving the Scholarship.

Eligible applications will be assessed by a Selection Committee. Selection will based on:
