The Lilith Scholarship in Bachelor of Laws

The Lilith Scholarship, generously donated by the Omari Family, is awarded to a female student enrolled in their final 2 years in the Bachelor of Laws Degree in Semester one 2023 who is experiencing financial hardship. The Scholarship will provide a one-off payment of up to $3330 to support the student to progress through their studies.

Eligibility guidelines

In order to be eligible you must:

  • be a female Australian citizen, or a permanent resident;
  • be enrolled in the Bachelor of Laws Course V72 or Bachelor of Laws Honours on or off campus ECU;
  • have and maintain an academic progression status of GREEN;
  • be enrolled in a minimum of 15 credit points
  • have completed a minimum of 240 credit points;
  • be able to provide evidence of financial hardship;
  • not currently be in receipt of another scholarship over $5000; and
  • not have been a previous recipient of this scholarship.

How to apply

Application is made via the ECU Online Scholarship Application Portal. Access to the portal is available between application opening and closing dates.

Applicants will be required to provide a personal statement of no more than 500 words addressing the following;

- Describe your personal circumstances and how you would benefit from receiving the Scholarship.

- Demonstrate a passion for the Law discipline and resilience in light of adversity.

Selection process

Eligible applications will be assessed by a Selection Committee.

Selection will be based on:

  • Content of Personal Statement
  • WAM - Weighted Average Mark
