The Semester 2, 2025 Bhutan Relocation Bursary

The Semester 2, 2025 Bhutan Relocation Bursary supports new international students from Bhutan commencing their studies at ECU Joondalup, ECU Mount Lawley, or ECU South West (Bunbury) campuses. This one-off bursary provides eligible students with a $2,000 AUD payment after the census date of their first semester.

At a glance

This bursary is open to new international students from Bhutan commencing an undergraduate or master’s by coursework program at ECU Joondalup, ECU Mount Lawley, or ECU South West (Bunbury) campuses in Semester 2, 2025.
Eligible students will receive a one-off $2,000 AUD payment after the census date of their first semester, following the required processes and successful verification.

Eligibility guidelines

To be eligible for this bursary you must:

  • be an international student (not an Australian Citizen, Australian Permanent Resident, or New Zealand Citizen) with citizenship of Bhutan;
  • meet academic requirements for the applied course at ECU;
  • be commencing study as an ECU full fee paying on-campus international student for the first time, at ECU Joondalup, ECU Mount Lawley or ECU South West (Bunbury) Campus locations in Semester 2, 2025; and
  • not receive any other ECU bursaries or full scholarships for your studies.

How to apply

All bursaries are awarded at ECU’s absolute discretion. ECU reserves the right to revoke the bursary at any stage if a student is found to have provided information that is false or misleading, does not meet the bursary eligibility criteria (including ECU’s standard and specific admission requirements), or the recipient does not comply with the conditions of the bursary. In these circumstances, ECU may require any amounts paid to the recipient to be refunded to ECU. ECU reserves the right to decline to award bursaries if, in its opinion, there are no suitable applicants. The number of bursaries to be awarded shall be at ECU’s sole discretion. This bursary may be withdrawn from offering by ECU at any time without notice.
