The WAAPA Scholarship for Dance has been generously donated to support a first-year student who is enrolled in the CUA51520 – Diploma of Professional Dance (Elite Performance) or Bachelor of Arts (Dance) (excluding 3rd year conversion students) course at WAAPA. The Scholarship will provide a one-off payment of $4000 to a student who demonstrates outstanding potential and is also in need of financial assistance.

Eligibility guidelines
In order to be eligible you must:
- be an Australian citizen or Australian permanent resident;
- have and maintain an academic progression status of GREEN;
- not currently be in receipt of another scholarship over $5,000 per annum; and
- be enrolled full time (60 credit point minimum requirement for Bachelor) in one of the below courses:
- C78 - Diploma of Professional Dance (Elite Performance) (CUA51520), or
- T73 - Bachelor of Arts (Dance) 1st year only, 3rd year conversion students are not eligible to apply.
How to apply
Application is made via the ECU Online Scholarship Application Portal. Access to the portal is available between application opening and closing dates.
Applicants will be required to provide a personal statement of no more than 500 words addressing the following;
- Describe your current financial personal circumstances and how you would benefit from receiving the Scholarship.
