Social Work

Field Placement for Social Work comprises two placements each which combines a supervised Social Work practice placement and integrative academic study. Students are placed in organisational settings, where they practice and learn social work under the supervision of a qualified social worker.

Field Placement enables the student to build an understanding of a particular field of practice through a structured framework, organised and supported by placement and academic staff.

ECU’s Social Work placements meet the standards of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).

For more information on the Bachelor of Social Work, please refer to the Course Handbook.
