Immerse yourself in a dynamic learning environment where you'll have input from leading industry partners like Channel 7, Channel 9, ABC and Nova radio, Bus Stop Films and the Revelation Film Festival. Student media publications are showcased to the industry and public through our ECU media platform Vanguard. Student films are screened at partnering cinemas. Postgraduate screen production scripted film and documentary screenings are attended by the industry's leading professionals and executives. Our partners also provide work-integrated learning opportunities for students, and student work is often promoted at local and international festivals or broadcast by media companies.
The Academy also enters student work for national and local awards, such as the Student BAFTA Awards.
A unique feature of the program is the Academy’s relationship with the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA). WAAPA is a world-renowned training course for arts performers and technicians and our Academy films have helped in building successful careers for many well-known actors.
Screen Production students collaborate with WAAPA actors on their short dramas and work with WAAPA composers, costume, design and sound students.
