Substance Use and Risk-Taking Behaviours

The primary aim of this program of research is to use online and laboratory experiments to examine associations between substance use, craving and risk behaviours (e.g., sexual, financial, relationship). Our studies are currently focused on developing new techniques for measuring alcohol use risk and examining the impact of alcohol advertising in sporting broadcasts. Furthermore, we are also exploring the impact of gambling advertisements on risk taking behaviour.
