Background
Associate Professor Henry’s academic career has given her widespread experience in project and personnel management. Over the last 10 years, she has acted as Chief Investigator in numerous large-scale projects.
In her early career, Associate Professor Henry engaged in research considering the wellbeing of parents and children experiencing family separation and/or divorce, the experience of stepparents, and the mental health and well-being of occupational groups.
During her mid-career, she re-launched the Sellenger Centre. Her role as the Director of the Centre saw her develop an extensive body of research in policing focused on integrity, use of information management systems, human source recruitment and management, use of force, policing those experiencing mental illness, and the effectiveness of police operational deployment models.
Since joining the School of Arts and Humanities, she continues to develop her research in policing, along with the development of a 'future' focused postgraduate program in Applied Criminology.
