WA Screen Academy

Evie-Rogers Elgar Memorial Award

The Evie-Rogers Elgar Memorial Award is presented in memory of Evie Rogers-Elgar, an extraordinary child who had a great love of film. Evie was diagnosed with cancer when she was just eight years old. Despite this devastating news, she was determined to enjoy her life, showing resilience, optimism, and joy in everything around her. After bravely enduring more than any person should ever have to, including over 28 surgeries, Evie passed away aged 11. The Award is presented to an eligible graduating student enrolled in a postgraduate course at the WA Screen Academy with the highest Weighted Average Mark (WAM).

A fund has also been established to enable anyone to contribute donations to support as many WA Screen Academy students as possible. Donate to the Evie Rogers-Elgar Memorial Fund
