Biography

Prior to joining ECU in 2019, Dr Eunjung Kim completed her PhD study in Department of Tourism, Sport and Hotel Management, Griffith Business School at Griffith University, Australia in June 2018. Her PhD thesis entitled “An investigation of volunteer motivation and psychological contract for the effective management of sport event volunteers”.

She has been working in Griffith University as a sessional teaching staff in Event and Sport Management and a researcher involved in a research project in terms of “Volunteers at the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games” funded by Griffith University.

She has published journal articles in top-ranked international journals: Tourism Management, Event Management, World Leisure Journal etc. She has conducted her research in collaboration with several sport event organisations such as Australian PGA Championship, Gold Coast Marathon, Cycle Queensland Adventure Tour and Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games. Also, she has been volunteering for over 10 years in various events such as Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games, London 2012 Summer Olympics, Global HR Forum, San Francisco Pride etc.
