Kourosh is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow of Business Services (Tourism & Hospitality) in the School of Business and Law.

Biography

Dr Kourosh Esfandiar is a Postdoc Research Fellow at School of Business and Law, Edith Cowan University (ECU). Prior to his current position, he held the same position at the University of South Australia (UniSA), where he was also a member of the UniSA Business’s Centre for Economic Enterprise and Global Economies (C-EDGE) leadership team.

Kourosh obtained his PhD from School of Business and Law at Edith Cowan University, Australia with Excellent Academic Results (Top 5% - Dean’s list 2021). Kourosh specialises in sustainable tourism, with his research featured in top-tier international journals such as Journal of Sustainable Tourism, Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Management, Tourism Management Perspectives, Journal of Business Research, and Journal of Cleaner Production.

Before pursuing his PhD, he engaged actively in the tourism field, serving as a university lecturer, tour guide, tour guide trainer, practitioner, and market researcher. He views tourism as a catalyst for promoting peace, sustainability, and well-being, recognizing its potential to offer enterprising solutions for global challenges.
