Professor Sam Huang, ranked 3rd in the world within tourism
School of Business and Law’s Professor Sam Huang’s excellent efforts within tourism, has seen him recently ranked 3rd in the world by the number of scholarly outputs from 2014-2019 (Scopus author ranking in tourism).
Professor Sam Huang is a Professorial Research Fellow and Director of the Markets and Services Research Centre (MASRC) in the School of Business and Law. He is a research professor in tourism and services marketing and internationally recognised as a prolific tourism researcher and one of the world leading scholars researching China tourism.
Professor Maryam Omari, Executive Dean School of Business and Law, expresses how proud School of Business and Law is of Professor Sam Huang and his achievements.
“Professor Sam Huang had 28 journal articles published last year, just about all A and A*. Not only that, he is a wonderful person who actively mentor other junior colleagues. Professor Sam Huang had a career in industry initially and came to academia later in life, so this is a fantastic achievement on his part.”
