Moe than 300 students and 20 employers found the 2023 Career Fair to be extremely valuable
More than 300 students attended our School of Business and Law’s (SBL) 2023 Career Fair on 8 March, where they met with 20 leading employers; discovered the importance of seizing opportunities from our keynote speaker, MBA Graduate Lisa Pascoe; and networked with other career focused students.
The Fair gives students and employers the opportunity to discuss potential internship, job, career, and development opportunities and establish professional networks that are so vital for job and career success.
The employers attending the Fair ranged from government departments such as the Australian Taxation Office and Department of Water and Environmental Regulation (DEWR); and private sector organisations like IBM, Deloitte, KPMG, International Hotel Group (IHG) and the Marriott Group.
Students were eager to take advantage of this face-to-face Industry opportunity, with a fabulous rebound in interest and numbers from the past years of COVID limitations.
Arron Jackson, SBL’s Industry Relationship Manager, said ‘it was a delight to see so many students making meaningful connections with our Industry Partners. Students need these casual interactive environments to connect with business professionals in person and one-one-one.’
Employers found the Fair equally valuable with Lynaire Eccles from BDO commenting that ‘we were blown away by the turn out and enthusiasm of all the ECU students’.
