A history of research excellence
Centre members are main contributors of research activities and outputs in the field of tourism in Edith Cowan University. Over the years, centre members’ world class research outputs have contributed to the continuing improvement of the university’s position in ShanghaiRanking’s academic subject ranking in hospitality and tourism management. In ShanghaiRanking’s Global Ranking of Academic Subjects in 2023, Edith Cowan University’s hospitality and tourism management subject is ranked 26th in the world.
We are keen to seek partnerships and collaboration opportunities with government, industry and community organisations locally, nationally and internationally to address real work problems and challenges facing the tourism, hospitality and leisure industries. Given the impact of COVID-19 on travel, tourism and related industries, our members would like to join hands with various types of stakeholders to research on practical solutions for the recovery and building resilient organisations and communities amid the pandemic.
We also aim to provide knowledge translation and consultancy services to organisations, communities and individual businesses.
