Dr Qiu-cheng Li is an assistant professor in the School of Tourism and Urban-Rural Planning. He obtained his BA and MA from Shandong University, and his PhD from Zhejiang University in China. His research interests are mainly in the field of tourism management, including tourist environmental behaviours, tourism and hospitality marketing, rural tourism planning, and destination management. Prior to joining the School of Tourism and Urban-Rural Planning in Zhejiang Gongshang University as an assistant professor, Dr Li had years of career experience in strategic planning for service industries, and he also worked for a 5-star hotel in mainland China.
Dr Li teaches both undergraduate and postgraduate level courses. His teaching expertise includes Tourism Marketing, Human Resource Management, Tourism Studies, and Public Relations. He also gives courses to postgraduate students on Quantitative Research Methods in Tourism Economics. Dr Li has published several research articles in some top-ranked journals in China including Tourism Tribune and Economic Geography. His paper on tourist environmental behaviour was granted the best paper award in the 12th APacCHRIE conference in 2014. He is now conducting a research project on rural tourism sponsored by the Social Science Foundation of Zhejiang Province in China.
